Stars and Stripe Explosion at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Event Stages are located at 17th, 24th, and 31st Street Parks on the boardwalk and 20th street on the beach
Multiple live performances on oceanfront stages attract visitors and residents to a “star-spangled” salute to our great country! Musical acts offer something for everyone with tribute bands saluting some of the biggest names in music. Following the live music is a spectacular fireworks show at 9:30pm that explodes over the ocean in a burst of colors and patterns!

32nd Annual 4th of July Celebration at Lakeside Park in Chesapeake

This free event kicks off at 10:00 AM with a parade that starts at South Norfolk Baptist Church and heads toward the park. Opening ceremonies and entertainment will follow the end of the parade. The event features children's activities, games, petting zoo, paddle boat rides and more. Food is available on-site for purchase, just bring a lawn chair and enjoy the fun. This event is presented by Chesapeake Parks and Recreation and the South Norfolk Civic League.
